Travel + Leisure Co. recently published its 2021-2022 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, showing the company’s commitment to responsible tourism. This report shows the progress made on numerous corporate social responsibility properties and commitments over the past year.
Travel + Leisure Co. has refined its approach to proactively advancing environmental, social, and governance standards across its business. In the ESG Report, Travel + Leisure Co. displays progress made against environmental and social goals and governance through the company’s Full Circle ESG Program. Some of the focus areas include:
- The WYND Green Certifications program has allowed the company’s vacation ownership business to enact efficient programs and explore reusable energy consumption at resorts.
- Progress has been made against the company’s 2025 greenhouse gas emissions reduction target. This shows continued commitment to supporting an urgent transition to a low-carbon economy.
- The company actively strengthens inclusion and diversity among its associates, customers, and suppliers. The Traveler’s Pledge is the company’s Code of Conduct for its owners, members, and guests that enables resort teams to provide great vacation experiences in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. The pledge was launched in May of 2021.
- The Travel + Leisure Charitable Foundation was launched last summer and began the Travel + Leisure Eatonville Scholarship Program in partnership with the School Board of Orange County, Florida. More than $1.1 million was donated to communities in 2021.
